55” long x 28” deep x 16” high x 31” overall height, daybed extensions 86” long EACH

A truly one-of-a-kind pair of custom solid teak sofas, in their original chenille wool-blend plaid upholstery for just the right textile pop. Sleek, sculptural, and wonderfully versatile, these pieces offer an unexpected combination of refined mid-century design and thoughtful functionality. Each sofa features a pull-out extension—one from the left and one from the right—transforming effortlessly from streamlined seating into a generous daybed. We love the 360-degree appeal, especially the beautifully finished teak backs, where the rich, expressive grain of the wood becomes a design feature in its own right. The removable back cushions seamlessly become part of the daybed when extended, making the transformation both clever and completely functional.

The solid teak frames have been refinished, and the pull-out portions carefully shaved down for a smoother, easier extension. We weren’t able to find anything identical to these in our research, leading us to believe they were custom, handmade pieces created during the Mid-Century era. We envision this pair as exceptional occasional or additional seating in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, reading spaces, and beyond—equally at home pulled up for conversation or extended for lounging. A rare find with beautiful materials, clever design, and the kind of craftsmanship that makes a piece feel collected rather than simply purchased. C.1960-1970s

Available individually or discounted for pair

Excellent vintage condition - especially with consideration to age and original upholstery preservation. The teak frames have been restored in house. Any wear is minor. No losses to the foam.
